Surfperch are abundant along the west coast. i do most of my surf fishing along the oregon coast but surfperch fishing washington and surfperch fishing california, it doesn't matter, the selection of gear is the same, as well as the surf perch bait available. The biggest difference in the locations will just be the types of beaches, which change all along the coast, whether it's flat, gently sloping, or has a moderate slope where the waves crash into the sloped beach and quickly withdraw, churning up material and sand crabs in the process.
