Oregon Coast Surf Fishing setup for Redtail surf perch. Surf Fishing with razor clams that i harvested the week before. Red tail surf perch surf fishing is really starting to pick up and using the right surfperch bait can mean the difference between catching a limit and struggling to find any surfperch. Clam necks and shrimp have been two very effective surf perch baits, as well as the tried and true Berkley Gulp Sand Worms. I ended up with a decent haul of surfperch, let a lot of small surf perch go and had more bites than i could count. The Surf fishing rig i am using is pretty standard for surf perch, basically just the high-Low rig using dropper loops, which allows me to fish with two hooks on my line. There are a lot of different surf fishing setups but these surf fishing rigs are directed towards those that are surf fishing for redtail surfperch, striped surfperch, barred surfperch and silver surfperch, all of which can be found along the west coast. These surf fishing rigs would be a but light for some of the surf fishing that is does along the east coast and south coast.
