Pakistan Vlog: My Stressful Journey from Karachi to Islamabad 🇵🇰
In this Pakistan vlog, I take you on my journey from Karachi to Islamabad, experiencing both the excitement and challenges of traveling in Pakistan. I started my day in my hotel in Karachi, sharing my thoughts on how I expected Islamabad to be a more modern and luxurious side of Pakistan. The hospitality I received at my hotel was incredible—they kindly helped me arrange a taxi for my journey to the airport.
At Karachi Airport, things took an unexpected turn. While reflecting on my amazing time in Karachi and looking for something to eat, I ran into trouble at security because I didn’t have my boarding pass ready. Thankfully, I sorted it out quickly, but my biggest challenge came when I tried to withdraw cash. For some reason, the ATM at Karachi Airport wouldn’t accept my card, leaving me worried about my upcoming trip.
Seeking peace of mind, I went to the mosque inside Karachi Airport to pray and make wudu. However, in an unfortunate moment, I slipped and fell hard on my back, causing a lot of pain. But the kindness of the people around me made me feel comforted. The airport mosque was truly beautiful, and I took some time to rest and reflect before heading to my gate.
Excited for my flight to Islamabad, I finally boarded, and I was pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness and luxury of the plane. Upon arrival at Islamabad International Airport, I was blown away by how modern and stunning the airport was. The moment I arrived, the Azaan (call to prayer) started playing, and I got goosebumps from the beauty of the moment—it was truly unforgettable.
After clearing the airport, I met a friendly and funny taxi driver who took me to my hotel. Upon arrival, I realized I had no Pakistani rupees left and needed to withdraw money to pay for my stay. This led me to the famous Centaurus Mall Islamabad, a luxurious shopping destination that I had been eager to visit.
Once inside, I was amazed by the modern atmosphere and the upscale vibe of the mall. However, my excitement soon turned to stress when I couldn't withdraw cash from any of the ATMs. A kind stranger offered to take me to several banks, but after multiple failed attempts, I found myself in one of the most stressful travel situations ever—stuck in Islamabad with no money and no way to pay for my hotel.
Thankfully, after working through the problem with my bank, I managed to find a way to access cash. Feeling relieved, I decided to treat myself to Pepe’s Peri Peri, a restaurant I frequently visit back home in England, which gave me a taste of familiarity in the midst of all the chaos. Finally, I made it back to my hotel and shared a detailed room tour, ending the day on a positive note.
