Here's our detailed review of Suzuki Alto VXL AGS, which was launched in 2019 in Pakistan. This Alto VXL has a 3 cylinder 660cc engine that is capable of returning up to 22 KM/L of fuel average under ideal conditions. However, during our testing, it gave a combined average of 18 KM/L with A/C in summers. Being a small engine, it performs quite well in the city.
We have also shared its specs and features along with a Point of View (POV) drive for a better driving analysis. Some of its features are actually quite good including all powered windows and auto-retracting side mirrors. Furthermore, it's rear legroom and headroom is also quite decent given its compact size. Alto VXL is also equipped with 2 Airbags for front passengers and ABS brakes for a better braking experience.
The VXL variant of Alto is the range topping variant, however, there are 2 more variants i.e. Alto VX & Alto VXR. The price of Alto VXL AGS is around 1.55 Million PKR after registration. The Pakistani market has welcomed the new Alto as it has been the best selling car of Pakistan since last year. The AGS (Auto Gear Shift) transmission is a bit jerky however, it's better to test drive it before buying one. Alto is also offered in 5-Speed manual transmission that is available in VXR variant.
In terms of passenger comfort and road noise, it's much better than its predecessor, however, it's still not ideal. The stock wheel size is 145/80/R13 and even the VXL variant doesn't have factory fitted Alloy wheels. Furthermore, Alto's rear seats can be folded down to create more room for luggage. Please note that it doesn't come with a spare tyre. Instead, all variants of Alto comes with a tyre repair kit.
