Short ride on the Dutch dikes in Noord-Holland, Netherlands. The Suzuki V-strom 1050 feels pretty much like a Honda Africa Twin in terms of its weight and relaxed engine characteristic. Really a no-fuss type of bike that feels a bit more back to basic and like it's build to last forever.
If you want a new reliable big V-shape engine with adventure looks, this is it. For the TCO and warranty, there is no direct alternative. With the ever growing pool of strong and lighter 270° parallel twins however, I do wonder if the v-shape proposition still makes sense for people shopping in this category. Factory cruise control might be a reason, but ride-by-wire bikes can easily be fitted with this by products such as MC cruise products: https://mccruise.com
