SWFEC Banner Recap "M15 and F23 were seen today 9:40a F23 flew to the upper nest tree vocal. 11:18a F23 flies East. 6:00p M15 and F23 on the perch tree, M15 flew off. 6:36p M 15 back with food, eating! Great Spirit keep them safe and E24 and E25 in your care."
The video opens with some gorgeous photos of F23 taken by MLiz Photos when she was at the nest this morning. I also included one of M15 from yesterday (Feb 1st) and one of the sub adult following M15. And lastly, the beautiful photo Liz got of sweet E24 & E25 the morning on Jan 26th. E24 passed away that night & earned its angel wings & E25 on Jan 28th. 💔💔
Liz reported: "F23 Visit this morning, she was watching all around. She rouse, she preens. She stay for a while and I was I leaving and put my camera in my car she flew over me. It is great to see her, one hope at a time, they are not still out of the woods yet, fingers cross. We will like to see them as often as we want but they will show up at their time. "
The video show F23 flying in the upper branches of the nest tree at 09:40a. She remained there until she flew off east at 11:18a. We did get a nice zoom on her in the tree.
We had a cute cameo of a female red bellied woodpecker on the nest foraging nesting material. To tell the difference between a male & a female - the males have a red crown and nape. Females have a red nape but they lack the red crown. Then we have the beginning of our starling choir - one European Starling on the attic, is joined by a second one & a third one. These are the Starlings we see all over the nest tree branches each season singing up a storm! Thank you for watching!
