Producer, engineer, mixer and author Sylvia Massy (Prince, Tool, Johnny Cash, System of a Down) has carved something of a niche in the industry as a lover of 'adventure recording': that is, unusual techniques that go beyond the ordinary realms of music production.
In January the SOS Team took a trip to Ashland, a small town seated at the bottom of a snow-covered mountain in Oregon where Sylvia resides. We got some top tips for going off-piste in the studio.
