Tai Chi for Beginners: 24-posture Form to the Right with step-by-step instruction (Taiji 24 form)

Video Not Working? Fix It Now

Welcome to a 15-minute lesson on how to perform and practice the 24 Posture Yang Style Tai Chi (Taiji) Chuan Set form (to the right). This lesson will break down the entire form into simple, easy-to-follow steps, using 3 camera angles and detailed narration. The goal of this lesson is to get you started with the mirror image of the most popular Tai Chi (Taiji) form, so that you can balance your mind and body, learn at home, and start working on harnessing your Chi (Qi) through these movements. Tai Chi Chuan is an ancient system of martial art and exercise that helps prevent and cure disease by loosening the joints and spine and relax points of tension in the body. Internal martial arts strengthen the digestive, circulatory, muscular, and skeletal systems. Tai Chi Chuan is often described as a moving meditation because the slow, turning motions relieve stress, improve concentration, and create a sense of calm. The complexity and challenge of physical training help keep the mind and body sharp. Vince Jornales is a certified instructor of Bagua Zhang, Filipino Martial Arts, Qi Gong (qigong) and Tai Chi Chuan. He has been a student of martial arts for over 20 years.
