臺灣空軍目前擁有約370架戰鬥機，加上各種輔助飛機總數約為550架，在世界空軍裏大約能排入前20。IDF是臺灣自研的一種輕型超音速多用途噴氣戰鬥機，具備視距外作戰能力及冷艙啟動快速等特點，正式型號為F-CK-1。
Taiwan's air force currently has about 370 fighter jets, plus a total of about 550 various auxiliary aircraft, which ranks among the top 20 in the world's air forces. IDF is a light supersonic multi-purpose jet fighter developed by Taiwan itself. It has the characteristics of beyond-line-of-sight combat capability and fast start-up of the cold cabin. The official model is F-CK-1.
