This was the first time I hiked Mt. Hakkoda in summer taking a clockwise course from Sukayu Spa.
It is a rather easy to hike course but gathering information online before hiking or asking the local guides information about it would be helpful. They can they take you up there for a reasonable fee and listen to various stories on your way up.
