Did you like this video? If so, be sure to check out this video, where I take on thioacetone: the smelliest chemical on Earth! Don't miss out, it's another YouTube-first! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E_wboFJZBTU When people want to convey how spicy something is, they usually do so with the Scoville scale. A jalapeno is, for example, a bit less than a 10,000 on this scale, while a Carolina Reaper is around 2,000,000. So what sits at the top of the Scoville scale in the year 2022? Resiniferatoxin (RTX) is a white, waxy solid with a score of 16 BILLION on the Scoville scale. This substance is certifiably toxic, irritating, and corrosive in its pure form, and one of its only natural source is a poisonous, cactus-like plant native to Morocco. So...what happens if we TASTE it? According to the Internet, nobody has been mad enough to attempt this yet, so I'm stepping up to fill in the gaps! In this video, you will learn just about everything we know about this elusive substance, and even get the chance to watch me taste a small sample. Want to help my channel grow?
