Every engine build starts with a tear down and this week we are tearing down the Ford FE power plant I bought off of Facebook Marketplace. I was told it was a 360 but I’ll walk you through the steps of identifying what FE engine you have. I’ll also be inspecting the cylinder bores, and crank journals for any evidence of prior machine work. We’ll figure out if I bought a good core to rebuild or if my budget engine rebuild is dead in the water.
