Of course the best way to get a handle on a turntable is to read a written review. The best way to see a turntable is in a video review so please after watching this cursory video review, read the written one on The Tracking Angle website: https://trackingangle.com/equipment/technics-sl-1300g-fills-2000-gap-with-sonic-excellence.

The $3299.99 SL-1300G is the second Technics turntable to use the newly developed Delta-Sigma drive system that greatly improves rotational consistency while reducing vibrational energy produced by the motor. That contributes to the smooth sound.

Another key feature of this turntable is that it uses the twin rotor, nine stator-coil, iron-free “coreless” motor first used on the Sl-1200G introduced in 2016. Going to an iron-free design greatly reduces "cogging" but it also produces less torque, which is why Technics moved to a double rotor/double stator "sandwich" motor. The new SL-1300G is the second Technics 'table to use the "sandwich" design.

There's a lot more "under the hood" described in the written review. This video review shows you all there is to see but there's way more to know so again, please read the review!
