현재 KAIST 문화기술대학원에서 인간 중심의 컴퓨팅(Human-centered Computing)을 연구 중인 황성재는 학술적 가치와 산업적 가치 모두를 아우르는 다양한 연구와 작업을 지속적으로 해오고 있으며, 이러한 작업의 결과물을 통해 인간과 컴퓨터의 상호작용에 대한 다양한 문제들을 다학제(Interdisciplinary)적인 시각에서 매우 창의적인 방식으로 해결했다는 평가를 받고 있다. 최근에는 IP(Intellectual Property) 공모전에서 "멀티 터치기반의 한글입력장치와 그 방법"으로 최고상인 '올해의 IP상'을 수상하면서 많은 주목을 받고 있다. 또한, 인터넷에서 낭만공대생으로도 알려진 그는 학창시절의 낮은 성적에도 불구하고 하나씩 꿈을 이뤄가는 감동 스토리로 많은 사람들의 관심을 받으며 희망을 보여준 주인공이기도 하다. 스스로를 창의적 탐험가라고 정의하는 그는 사용자에게 행복을 주는 인간적이며 따뜻한 기기를 꿈꾸며 오늘도 연구에 매진하고 있다.
Hwang sung-jae who is now researching the Human-centered computing at graduate school of KAIST culture technology is continually doing various studies and tasks which encompasses both academic value and industrial value. Then, he has been evaluated that he solved various problems about Human-computer interaction from interdisciplinary point of view through the results of this task.
Recently, he has been receiving much attention at IP(Intellectual Property) competition as he got an award "This year's IP award" which is the best award regarding " Input device and the method of Korean based on multi-touch "
Also, hwang sung-jae who became known as romance engineering student is a hero shown hope with interest of many people
from a touching story achieving his dream one by one even though he had a low score throughout his school years.
Hwang sung-jae who defines himself as a creative explorers put his heart and soul into research with dreaming the humance and warm equipment which can make users feel happy today.
