more and more analog drums. Please rate like share hate and i'll post 4th kit ready to record.
ok i said reggae but this is not my reggae kit sorry i will put it on video 4.
i'll play sounds around with all bypass then send TEMPEST thru Biscuit and bass from tempest is going out on dedicated output to Sherman filter.
The tempest is connected to my RME soundcard no eq / compression. I'm not using samples in the tempest only noise generators. I'm not interested in samples i have kontakt and huge banks that are easier to edit on my computer. the only samples i use are on the crash for that specific oldschool lofi sound of the sample beeing pitched to trash. I'm using analog only not because i'm an analog freak but because when you start tweaking knobs around or use the FX sliders you reach atmospheres that you can get with samples because of that pitch problem and you don't loose the envelopes and transients.
About the 909 and other drum machine. i really don't pretend to imitate those tools. this is what emulations are for. I prefer to search the specific sounds the tempest is good for rather then imitating other gears that you might wanna buy if that's the sound you want.
In my opinion you can really have powerfull sounds on that machine but true, it came out a bit fast and the presets are all using samples wich i think is a mistake for a "analog drum machine" and the analog sounds that came out later are still not that convincing to me.
