Timestamps:
00:00 - Good afternoon from Wichita, Kansas, FSD pulls out of hotel parking lot, and discussion about today’s FSD drive to tour downtown Wichita and old town center
07:45 - FSD does a great job merging on the highway as it goes down to one lane
09:16 - FSD is able to get back over to the left lane quickly to make our exit after the lanes open back up on the highway
11:52 - FSD does another great job merging on the highway as it loses lanes due to construction
13:33 - We start the 40 minute FSD tour of downtown Wichita
24:29 - FSD does tremendous job over the next minute with road construction through a stretch of downtown
54:10 - End of the FSD tour of downtown Wichita and old town center and start journey back through the east side of Wichita to our hotel
56:17 - FSD successfully maneuvers in between two vehicles (one stopped in the middle of the road) with a very narrow passageway
56:37 - FSD makes a tremendous unprotected left turn onto a busy road with alternating traffic, accepting a courtesy gap, then moving up to get a better field of view around a couple of semi truck/trailers, and then makes the left turn confidently
1:08:10 - FSD takes us for a quick 4 minute tour inside the gates of the Wichita Country Club after I forgot to take the navigation point out of the UI screen
1:12:27 - FSD has bad lane selection leaving the country club, but instead of trying to correct itself immediately, FSD sticks with the direction you would normally take out of that lane and reroutes to our hotel
1:19:53 - FSD turns into the hotel parking lot and pulls into the guest lane directly in front of the hotel near the front desk to drop us off; I go ahead and set a manual pin for FSD to go near a parking spot and then use Autopark to park in a parking spot
1:23:36 - Debrief on the FSD tour of downtown Wichita/old town center that had no interventions, and wish everyone a great rest of the week.

Tesla FSD Settings:
I have a 2024 Model 3 Long Range All Wheel Drive. My specific FSD settings are Hurry mode (there are 3 modes: Chill, Normal, and Hurry), and Max Speed Offset of 50% (e.g. if traffic is going faster than the posted speed limit, FSD will match traffic up to 50% over the speed limit). FSD is hands-free but requires supervision in the driver's seat. The supervisor is monitored by in-cabin cameras. Glance away for more than a few seconds, and the system will prompt to look ahead. If not timely, it will prompt to touch the steering wheel ("the nag"). If steering wheel isn't touched timely, FSD will disengage and require taking over manually for the remainder of drive. This is all part of current "Supervision" status.
Camera setup:
- 2 GoPro Hero 12 Blacks (1 in the middle of the roof facing front windshield and other at top of front windshield facing me)
- 2 USB-C cables (1 for each GoPro) with batteries out of them to avoid overheating
- 1 suction cup mount placed in middle of roof
- 1 extender rod attached to suction cup mount
