We are on the road in San Antonio, Texas. Is everything bigger here? Time will tell.
Today we are going to the Alamo. The Alamo is a historic site and a symbol of courage and sacrifice in the Texas Revolution. In 1836, during the revolution against Mexico, a small group of Texian defenders held their ground at the Alamo mission. They battled against the much larger Mexican army led by General Santa Anna. In spite of their eventual defeat, their resistance became an inspiration for Texian forces. Rallying cries like, "Remember the Alamo!" helped secure victory at the Battle of San Jacinto, leading to Texas's independence from Mexico. Today, there is a museum that is a reminder of the bravery and determination of those who fought for freedom.
