5 Thai hostages released from Hamas captivity last week reached home at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport on Feb 09. They shed tears of joy upon their return when they met their loved ones for the first time in more than a year. The returnees, dressed in winter jackets, embraced their loved ones in emotional reunion after they exited the airport's transit area following a flight from Israel. Thai Foreign Minister, Maris Sangiampongsa, who led the welcome party for the released hostages, expressed relief at their return. Efforts are underway to bring back 1 remaining Thai hostage still believed to be held captive by Hamas, along with bodies of 2 deceased Thai nationals. Before the conflict, approximately 30,000 Thai labourers worked in Israel's agriculture sector, making them one of largest migrant worker groups in country. Nearly 9,000 Thais were repatriated following the attack. The workers primarily come from Thailand's northeastern region, an area comprising villages and farming communities that is among the poorest in the country. #bangkokthailand #israelhamaswar #benjaminnetanyahu Join ANI's YouTube membership to get access to perks: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCtFQDgA8J8_iiwc5-KoAQlg/join Subscribe now and press the bell icon 🔔 to get new video updates: https://bit.ly/2UV4ygi -------------------------------------- ANI is South Asia's leading Multimedia News Agency providing content for every information platform, including TV, Internet, broadband, newspapers, and mobiles.
