He looks to dunk whenever possible and is capable of hitting multiple threes in a game. Stokes is inexperienced as the primary ballhandler which leads to him making careless turnovers. Like most players at this stage in their development, Stokes plays entirely too fast which neutralizes his athletic advantages. Stokes has to learn to play at multiple paces. This will make him more effective as a pick and roll ball handler. Stokes shifts his bodyweight back on nearly every 3 point attempt. This causes him to lean back and he overcompensates with his arms. At times, this makes his shot flat and can miss erratically. Stokes needs to land forward on every shot and needs to take ownership of his landing space.
