TikTok and other social media platforms have faced scrutiny from health experts for an increase in loneliness, particularly among teens. As U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy nears the end of his second term as the nation's top doctor, his "parting prescription" for the American people is to foster a stronger sense of community. Data from Murthy's department shows Americans are increasingly isolated from one another with each passing year. This phenomenon is the focus of Derek Thompson's latest piece for The Atlantic, "The Anti-Social Century." Thompson joins Michel Martin to discuss what can be done.
