Today's video was really fun to make. It was recorded for The Apocalyptic Challenge.
The proposal was to create a piece that appears to have an apocalyptic theme using only recycled materials.
I built mine with a chipping rasp, a part from my table saw that was stolen at the beginning of the year, a spring from a VW Beetle, a cut sheet of bronze, copper wires and a piece of the rail I used in the video.
It took me a while to decide which piece to make, I had a lot of scrap and many incomplete ideas, until on the last day I found the saw piece, which helped me define the project.
I sought to do something that seemed to come from a real context of survival and improvisation, taking great care in the execution without refining the finish too much.
In my opinion, it was something very close to the Mad Max universe, or perhaps coming from a cyberpunk or steampunk video game.
This piece will be available if anyone is interested. The buyer will be able to choose whether I make a support or a hem within the theme.

O vídeo de hoje foi bem divertido de fazer. Ele foi gravado para o The Apocalyptic Challenge.
A proposta era criar uma peça que pareça de temática apocalíptica usando apenas materiais reciclados.
Construí a minha com uma grosa de casqueamento, uma peça da minha serra de bancada que foi roubada no início do ano, mola de VW Beetle, uma chapa recortada de bronze, fios de cobre e um pedaço da cala que usei no vídeo.
Demorei para decidir qual peça fazer, tinha bastante sucata e muitas ideias incompletas, até que no último dia encontrei a peça da serra, que me ajudou a definir o projeto.
Busquei fazer algo que parecesse vindo de um contexto real de sobrevivência e improviso, caprichando na execução sem refinar demais o acabamento.
A meu ver ficou algo bem próximo do universo Mad Max, ou talvez vindo de algum videogame ciberpunk ou steampunk.
Essa peça estará disponível caso alguém tenha interesse. O comprador poderá escolher se faço um suporte ou uma bainha dentro do tema.
