The Archway - A 180-Year Journey Built Over A Highway! - Kearney, NE

Situated along the Lincoln Highway, crossing over I-80 at Exit 275, The Archway Monument, AKA The Great Platte River Road Archway Monument in Kearney, Nebraska is a truly special museum. Not only is it all built in a bridge overpass that crosses over the highway, and then not only do you ride an escalator through a humongous moving picture frame to begin your journey, but then the actual museum itself is a fun, informative and very well made testament to the progression and exploration of America as we moved west! From seeing the journey along the Oregon Trail, to the creation of the Lincoln Highway, which led to the Interstate system, this museum feels like you are walking through Spaceship Earth at EPCOT!
