The Day of the Triffids is one of the greatest pieces of science fiction and plant horror ever created, so it makes sense the BBC would adapt it into a six part serial. Despite there already being a 1963 film and numerous radio plays, this version - in my opinion at least - stands the test of time as the definitive screen version of the story. Action packed, romantic, thought provoking, violent and genuinely scary at points, let's explore its background and review the episodes, shall we?
