As I lost all the confidence on my Super Flower 2000W power supply unit after it damaged two record capable motherboards, I wanted to find something similarly strong for the latest hardware where power outputs can be very high when it comes to overclocking. I saw the brand-new PX-2200W unit from Seasonic at Computex when I was there last year and it caught my interest straight from the get go.
Having the strongest single 12V rail on the market, with a whopping 183A output capability, this unit is obviously a 230V only unit due to high currents. The PX-2200 has native support for the new PCI-E Gen 5 connection with two native connections directly from the unit itself and additional two adapter style cables, so this should cover various workstation configurations and even the enthusiast oriented graphics card models that often have even two of these new connectors.
As we already saw the brand-new RTX5090 + mainstream AMD system taking over 1700W with only the graphics card on liquid nitrogen cooling, I think that either this model or the TX-1600 is the best option for that kind of use case if you want to power it all with just one power supply unit.
