After living in my van and chasing powder the past 3 winters I've skied at every major resort in North America (at least the ones on Epic and Ikon passes). Here's what I think the best ski mountains in the United States and Canada are after skiing them all. I skied at over 50+ mountains in the past 3 years so here's my thoughts!
Note this is just for fun and any day out skiing can be a great day! Often times the quality of the snow determines how great a ski or snowboard day is on the mountain so I've tried to take that out of my ranking and focus on the resort itself, the terrain and how much expert terrain there is and how easy it is to get to, and the snow quality so the likelihood of getting powder and light soft snow.
There's a few non mega pass ski resorts I would like to include on this list (Mt Hood, Whitefish, Big White, Wolf Creek, etc...) but I haven't gotten the chance to ski those yet so i decided not to include them since I haven't actually skied them to judge for myself. Though I hope to change that next season! This video is also focused on western ski resorts, I'll make another video going over East Coast mountains since this video is already pretty long and didn't seem fair to directly compare the two...
