"The Bias Against Us: Predictable Inaccuracy in AI hiring", a talk by David McIntosh, delivered on 7th February 2024.
Abstract: Hopefully, we all know by now that AI is biased. But why is that? If AI only perpetuates bias from flawed human datasets, there might be no disadvantage to using it in place of those humans. I use hiring as an example to critique this notion, contrasting perfect Bayesian reasoning with our own flawed cognition and the AI models currently in development.
