In this video, I cover all of the steps you'll need to take, and parts you'll need to source to park an LA (or Magnum!) small block V8 under the hood of your classic Mopar A-body that was originally equipped with a slant six engine. That means a 273, 318, 340, or 360 LA engine, a Magnum 5.2 or 5.9, or even a radical 408 stroker (or beyond.) The cars we'll be discussing are 1963-1976 Dodge Darts, Demons, and Dart Sports, and 1963-1976 Plymouth Valiants, Scamps, Dusters, and Barracudas. A lot of this information will also apply to other body styles. This is a swap I have years of experience with, having been involved with many of them. I am currently engaged in another one (involving a 408 stroker, a five speed TKX, and much more) on Dylan's 1974 Dodge Dart Sport. So I thought I'd take this opportunity to explain the process.
