Thoth, or rather Djehuty/Djehuti - “He who is like ibis”. This predynastic deity did not lose popularity for almost the entire period of the existence of the pharaonic state. Today known as the patron of scribes, wisdom, magic, and... as the author of a mysterious book called the Book of Thoth, which some people are looking for to this day...
What was in his mysterious ancient book? Why was Thoth depicted as an ibis and a baboon? How was Thoth created and what is his full story?
