After over 50 years since the service ended, and a long restoration,the famous Brighton Belle is back on a first test run from Crewe to Chester.
Obviously not able to run under her own power from a third rail, on this line , and only running as a 4 car set as the fifth isn't ready yet.
Today's test was a shake down run, worked top and tailed by 20132 and 20118, also looking great in Railfreight grey livery.
The run was an hour late leaving Crewe, which annoyingly meant the rain had started. 28th January 2025.
