Hey again, it's been a bit. Here I talk about a game that is and was super important to my upbringing: Left 4 Dead. How it was different from what came before it, and quickly stole the hearts of many cooperative shooter fans... then disappeared, and what has replaced it in the 15 years since. Are any of those games as good as the original? What do they borrow from Left 4 Dead, and how do they innovate? This video comes out of my deep love from what I call "massive PvE coop shooters," and I share some of my favorites here. I hope you enjoy!

ADDENDUM
-----------------------------
Darktide recently received a big update completely overhauling the Class system in that game, and basically improved the progression so there's more that just a loot grind. This makes the game a lot more playable for the less Diehard Warhammer enthusiasts, so the Darktide portions of this video don't hold up in the game's modern iteration. It's a lot more interesting now.
