The Closed Midland Railway built on Black Gold Join me as i begin a 3 part journey along a former Midland Railway route that began its journey in Nottinghamshire and ended up in Derbyshire. The railway from Mansfield Woodhouse via Pleasley, Teversal and onto Tibshelf is now a popular walking route for many. In part 1 i begin at Pleasley before walking towards the former Teversal Colliery & also Silverhill Colliery and two former stations. Next up i head towards Skegby Junction where i leave the main route to follow the short branch up to Sutton Colliery that closed in 1989. I shall return to the mainline in Part 2 Video Thumbnail by Mick Page :- https://www.flickr.com/photos/mick_page Would you like to help support my Channel?
