The complete story of Luqman Al Hakim as immortalized in the Koran
The story of Luqman Al-Hakim is a story full of wisdom and lessons in Islam. His name is immortalized in the Qur'an in Surah Luqman (31st surah), which contains wise advice conveyed by Luqman to his son.
Luqman is known as a very wise man. Some scholars call him a prophet, but the majority argue that he was a pious servant of Allah and was given wisdom by Him. Allah SWT says:
"And indeed, We have given wisdom to Luqman, namely: 'Be grateful to Allah. And whoever is grateful (to Allah), then indeed he is grateful for himself; and whoever is not grateful, then indeed Allah is Rich, Most Praiseworthy. '"

Luqman comes from the Habasyah nation (Ethiopia) and is described as someone who is humble, wise, and always remembers Allah.
