The R.E.A.L. 3DO was a video game system built on a brand new business model, world-class technology, and a head start over all of its competition. It was lead by the incredible Trip Hawkins, a man whose creativity and success has fundamentally changed the video game market forever.
However, for all his foresight, Hawkins couldn’t see a few things: The model was faulty, the game would soon be out of date, and the system couldn’t compete with the big boys.
In today’s video, we take a look at the 3DO, an incredible video game system that failed – but not for lack of trying or lack of vision.
