I mention some DACs which cost many thousands of dollars and in one case, a DAC which costs 160,000 GBP, which is over $200k USD. I discuss R2R NOS DACs and then provide a blind test with a poll. Some converters DO sound bad and I give an example in this video. However, most sensible converters over a basic price level, let's say a few hundred dollars, when well designed, are already transparent.
