For Diane's November 2024 book club Diane is joined by Amor Towles for a conversation about his latest work, "Table for Two." From the best-selling author of “A Gentleman in Moscow,” comes a collection of six short stories and one novella. The Los Angeles Times says, “This may be Towles’s best book yet. Each tale is as satisfying as a master chef’s main course, filled with drama, wit, erudition, and, most of all, heart.” The short stories take place in New York and explore the consequences that can spring from brief encounters, as well as the dynamics of modern marriage. The novella meanwhile transports readers to the Golden Age of Hollywood, and features Evelyn Ross, a character from Towles’s earlier novel "Rules of Civility."
