This 1919 film shows the repatriation of returned soldiers from World War I, including facilities for injured and psychologically affected servicemen. Vocational retraining schemes for able bodied men including building construction, bricklaying, barber training, pottery classes, automobile assembly and 'making harvesters at Sunshine, implement makers, furniture making and joinery, 'farming classes at Dookie Agricultural College' are also shown. Returned Soldiers commencing operations at Merbein. Permanently incapacitated ex-servicemen play musical instruments and do handicrafts from their beds at an Anzac Hostel. Glimpses of Returned Soldiers' farms.
