In this series, we investigate and answer questions about fish that you may be interested in.
In 1937, a long time ago, a 215cm hucho was caught in Hokkaido, recorded by former Kyushu University professor Dr. Kimura Kiyoaki.
However, fishing records show a 150cm fish, and photos show a 130cm fish, while the most recent Japanese record is a 110cm fish caught by monster fish hunter Uyama. Some people are skeptical, as 215cm is far ahead of the rest.
However, by unraveling Hokkaido's vast natural landscape and history and approaching the mystery, we may be able to grasp the veracity of this claim!
