There have been many great moments in the history of the Fiesta Bowl. This is not one of them. Because prior to the 1975 Fiesta Bowl, Nebraska rejected the invitation to play in the game. And upon the Cornhuskers rejecting this invite, some people decided to take matters into their own hands in just about the dumbest way possible, that almost destroyed the bowl game's credibility. This is the story behind this disastrously dumb controversy and incident
