A solo thru hike/run of the Enchantments of Washington State Alpine Lakes Wilderness. A journey into the self and a magical landscape. Thank you for joining me! STATS: 19.22 miles - 5,600 ft of elevation gain - 8.5 hours STRAVA Link: https://www.strava.com/activities/3951591392 GEAR: Ultimate Direction Adventure Vesta, 70 ounce water capacity (treated water with iodine tabs & added Tailwind electrolyte drink powder). I used a Garmin Forerunner 945 with the route downloaded, Black Diamond Distance Z trekking poles, Garmin Inreach Mini, Arc'teryx shirt and shorts (2 in 1), Altra Lone Peak 4.5s & Dirty Girl Gaiters, Outdoor Research ActiveIce Spectrum Sun Gloves, Brooks Sherpa hat, Patagonia Houdini, survival blanket, extra socks (Injinji Toe Socks), a small lightweight towel, sunscreen (Eminence Lilikoi Mineral Defense Sport Sunscreen), a first aid kit (basically just NSAIDs and blister kit with leukotape with the idea that the most likely injury would be ankle-related and I figured I could wrap it enough to make it out of there or request SAR through my Inreach if I couldn't). I also carried a Hero8 GoPro with an extendable mount and the Green Trails Map for the area. I ate Gu vanilla bean gels, Gu Stroopwafels, Larabars, and a turkey sandwich (I typically aim for 300 calories an hour). I drank 120 oz of fluid, all containing electrolytes.
