For the first of two presentations this month, Erik W6ETJ gives the Sierra Foothills ARC a preview of a new product he is developing. The Antenna Hub is a simple means for creating more capable antennas from the simple ones we often have laying around the Ham Shack. Erik started using radios at a very early age, doing AM DX above the iron fields in MN where he was born. His parents bought him a small transistor radio, with which he would listen to radio stations all over the United States. Erik has been a very active outdoorsman and professional in construction almost his entire life. He constantly used CB, FRS, scanners, shortwave AM, and FM broadcast as a hobby, eventually receiving his Ham license in 2013. He's been obsessed with Ham radio ever since. Erik is currently the vice president of Western Placer Amateur Radio Club. He loves experimenting with various antennas, where one of his passion is helping others achieve success, especially when it comes to disguising their antennas from HOA’s.
