Imperfect footage of an unexpected and rare event: the Fletcher Granite Quarry switcher on their spur which connects to the old B&M Stony Brook branch, now run by Pan Am Railway. Part of this spur was rebuilt around 2001 but has been used very little since. Last week I noticed the overgrown rails by a grade crossing had been cleared of "greenery", and sure enough, yesterday three loaded gondolas were spotted by Pan Am for the quarry. Two made their way to the facility, and this group of clips shows them being readied and returned empty for pickup. The last clip shows the third loaded car being hauled to the facility to be unloaded.
