In this episode I show you how to make a bar sign. 'The Gambler sign is hand routed and textured using a chisel gouge. This bar sign is a birthday gift for a an outdoor bar. The bar is called The Gambler. I used my hand router to carve the lettering and used a hand gouge for the background finish. I decided to paint the sign in a classic gold and black for a edgy feel and design. I left the natural wood as a border and to show off the live edge of the timber which makes the whole sign pop. This Gambler bar sign took some time but I really enjoyed showing the process of how to make a custom wooden sign, hand routed without a CNC.
