Jon goes away for a few days and leaves the house to Odie and Garfield. Garfield soon starts playing tricks on Odie, who ends up stuck out in the garden. A young neighbor, Nathan, takes pity on the terrified Odie. For Odie, it’s a stroke of luck: Since Garfield's so mean to him anyway, he could really use a new friend. Odie has fun playing with Nathan. Garfield doesn’t miss a trick, and lies in wait for Odie to try out some new practical jokes on him. But Garfield's little games are nothing in comparison to what the new neighbor has in store for Odie… Quick, Garfield, if you don’t hurry up, Odie’s gonna end up playing guinea pig in some crazy science experiment.
