Today, we are going on a journey to look at a number of ghost stories connected with the utterly beautiful Royal Mail Ship Queen Mary. This is going to be part 1 of a series of probably 4 videos!
This retired Transatlantic Ocean liner was built in Scotland and her maiden voyage was in 1936, and She now resides in sunny Long Beach, California. But this is a ship with a haunted reputation. Who haunts the first-class swimming pool? What ghostly spirits lurk on B deck? Did a murder take place in Room B340? Is the ship haunted by a ghostly cat? In the post-script, I will talk about some of the things that I encountered during my trip to RMS Queen Mary in the spring of 2024.
Some of the stories focus on historical events, and I hope you feel that my video covers the sad side of history in a respectful and honest way without sensationalising the past. Please stay tuned to the end to hear a postscript from me, Nicola, where I’ll take a look at some extra stories, postcards and a menu dating back to 1948 from the Queen Mary. I am so excited to share these items with you.
