Moka pots were massively popular in the past, but over the years other brewing methods have become more popular as our palates have evolved.
But they've been making a big comeback, and it turns out the only reason many of us remembering them being a way to produce overly bitter, not great tasting coffee, is that we were doing it wrong.
This method of stove top brewing has been demonstrated here on YouTube by the likes of The Wired Gourmet, James Hoffmann, and Matteo D'Ottavio (who I mention in the video) and various others, it had absolutely nothing to do with me ;-). I'm not claiming any of this method of my own - just sharing what works.
