In this video, I outline Michael Graziano's Attention Schema Theory (AST), a more detailed account of how consciousness - and our idea that there is a 'hard problem' of consciousness - might arise entirely from neural computations. This is the first theory of consciousness that I have felt genuinely satisfied by, and there is a lot more to learn about it if you want to follow this video up by looking at Graziano's work.
