About Us:
Bristol University Symphonia is the home of orchestras at the University of Bristol.
We are affiliated with Bristol SU and have won Performing Arts Society of the Year in 2020 and 2023!
We have two student-run orchestras:
• Symphony Orchestra, which is part-auditioned,
• Philharmonic, which is the only un-auditioned full orchestra at the University.
Besides playing great music, we have a jam packed social calendar and eat biscuits and cakes during rehearsal breaks! We offer a non-pressurised, fun environment for music making and are accessible to everyone! We have a vibrant and social orchestral family, and enjoy engaging with our local community, including through outreach events and sponsorships.
This year we hope to continue our success and look forward to meeting and welcoming new musicians!

Minerva Choir is BUMS' welcoming and inclusive non-auditioned choir, open to everyone with a passion for singing. Whether a seasoned performer or completely new to singing, all are invited to join and enjoy making music together.
The choir performs a vibrant mix of styles, ranging from energetic pop arrangements to timeless choral favourites, with a particular focus on festive Christmas songs during the winter months. It is a place to connect, have fun, and share the joy of music in a friendly, supportive environment.
