Most Filipino Martial Art systems share similarities in their footwork patters. However we too often take these patterns for granted without actually delving into why or what they were designed to do.
As a result we dont truly understand their importance and dont put in the repetitions required for them to express themselves during combat or sparring.
In this video Tuhon Aditya breaks down a few ways of looking at open and closed triangle footwork as well as some applications with the Stick and Empty Hands.
