This approach will unlock melodic phrasing possibilities that are not found in the traditional fingering. I call this system the three note per string CAGED system and in this case, we are going to use the Ionian mode. Remember to always be targeting the intervals you want in order to have control of what you are playing. This system will break the typical three note per scale sequences in favor of a more intervallic approach.
