Before ripping apart NFL defenses with his arm and legs and delivering clutch close-out performances, Jayden Daniels was barely 125 pounds in high school. He worked tirelessly to put on weight and improve his craft, taking critical risks to climb up to the pros. Jayden Daniels' rise to the NFL has been extraordinary, and this is the story of how an undersized kid became an NFL star.
Jayden Daniels was born on December 18th, 2000, in San Bernardino, California, he was welcomed into a football-obsessed family. His father, Javon Daniels, was a defensive back for the Washington Huskies in his prime, which meant young Jayden spent some of his earliest years training to become a lockdown corner. Jayden also enjoyed basketball, but it didn’t take long for him to realize that his slender frame would always be a liability for him on the court. So, football it was, and his earliest taste of on-field action came at Cajon High School.
